Portrait Painting Without Drawing - Reg Green

Elizabeth B. Tucker

This is a portrait painting of my friend, Reg Green, who graciously allowed me to use his photo to create this painting. The photo was in black and white which allowed me to concentrate on values and temperature. I primarily used a Zorn palette of yellow ochre, cad red light, black, and ultramarine blue. The photo reminded me of a character from Shakespeare so my intention was to keep the intensity of the emotion throughout. If you like this, please consider a thumbs up, and subscribing. I teach painting and drawing and can be found at www.etuckerart.com
